The breakfast was good the fact you could help yourself and the spa facilities were lovely.

The food in the restraint is a absolute rip off and the choice is rubbish. I would like a part refund as I don't feel at all it's worth what you are charging.!!!

Chester visit

The place was lovely, Room was massive (superior room) and clean Atmosphere was the lovely Staff were extremely welcoming and friendly Really close to what we wanted to do Blue Planet Aquarium and Chester Zoo

The only fault but it's an old building and expected squeeky floor above us :) interrupted our sleep a bit.

We loved our stay! The staff were absolutely fantastic, so lovely and welcoming. The room was huge and comfy. The bar and general hotel is lovely, the grounds are gorgeous. The pool is nice and warm, jacuzzi great. The steam room and sauna are small but perfect if you get it to yourself.

A couple of doors/walls were a bit dirty, only 1 changing room at the spa. But for the price, it was absolutely brilliant. Food/drink is a bit pricey.

nice building and pool but on the basis of the meal i wouldn't stay again

Room was fine but the TC connection was terrible. Pool facilities were good i very much enjoyed those. Building was very nice.

i had one of the worst steaks i have ever had in the restaurant it was poorly prepared and hugely fatty.

Disappointed stay

Room was big and comfortable breakfast very nice

Not enough tea and coffee in room and no biscuits not worth the price they charge per night food in restaurant at night very poor quality to say it was a 4 star had a better stay at the mill hotel and spa in chester previous 2 nights didn't feel the staff really cared

Great location Nice building Fantastic SPA facilities Food was very nice Room well decorated

On arrival it was a very cold room- Heater provided on request. No working cold water tap - asked for bottled water told not available - tap fixed next day. Ordered food, starter and main in the bar - main dish delivered 5 mins after starter then re delivered cold 15 mins later. The plug in the sink does not work. Shower only cold or low pressure warm. Told don’t serve wine by the glass then after a second request told they do. Ordered food and asked for spare plate - not provided. TV in room inadequate. No BBC1 Internet inefficient with no signal. The ‘Garden view’ is actually a carpark

Will return for a longer stay to use the facilities and spa. Great location.

Room was spacious, on ground floor which was a bonus, after doing a 50 mile run on the 2nd March, wouldn’t have liked to climb stairs. Room temperature was lovely. Comfy bed. Didn’t do breakfast, as was out before it was served ( so couldn’t comment on it ). Didn’t get chance to try the spa, due to limited time, with doing an event in the area. Restaurant was very nice, lovely food & service. Great beers.

Room, some of the lights didn’t work, no toilet paper, had to go and ask for some. Wasn’t much of a view, only into a court yard. The noise was quite loud, from other quest’s returning to their rooms at times.

Beautiful establishment, but staff should be trained better to run the dining room and ensure rooms are functional.

The building and gardens were beautiful. The room was large. The spa and pool were great! The breakfast buffet was good.

In my room two light bulbs were broken and in my son’s room there was power problem to his lighting most of which didn’t work. Somebody should check this kind of thing before guests arrive. There was no refrigerator. At dinner the waiter forgot our orders so there was a long wait and finally adults food arrived before the children’s!

Enjoyed our stay but the facilities could have been better personally

Location was great for getting into Chester centre, the building itself was stunning with lovely grounds surrounding it

I feel the spa facilities could be better very small sauna and steam room and the jacuzzi seemed like it was falling apart in places, some minor maintenance required in our room non of the hand wash ect where located in the walls but had the wall holders attached to them there were also visible issues in the shower some grouting and sealant missing in large parts of the wall which didn’t seem too clean some stains on the carpets too

Very comfortable hotel

Very comfortable rooms with a big bed and bathroom. We enjoyed our bar meal and the addition of a dinner for our 1 year old. The grounds are beautiful and worth exploring. Fantastic location for nearby Chester. The staff were responsive to any questions.

There was a bit of mould in the bathroom but nothing to be concerned about. We weren't given toilet roll for the bathroom but upon asking, were provided with some quickly.

Crabwell Hotel, you were a rollercoaster of charm and chaos.

Ahoy there, Crabwall Manor Hotel & Spa adventurers! The hotel is beautiful. The garden & surroundings are gorgeous. The rooms? They are Bright, beautiful, large enough to fit your needs, and clean. the Spa is nice. Dinner plans got a bit theatrical. The receptionist played the "Let me check if it's okay" card, only to reveal an empty dining room. The man at the door was convinced you'd secretly booked dinner twice, but no, you're not a magician; you just wanted a meal. BUT The meal was very nice & Great Cheeseboard and the Morning brought a breakfast that could make a sunrise jealous.

Let's talk spa. It's basically the relaxation sanctuary, but - plot twist - the hot tub decided to take a day off. Don't worry; we're all for tub drama and suspense. The check-in saga. The charming receptionist embarked on a quest to find the mysterious second room, and it turned into a scavenger hunt that would put Sherlock Holmes to shame. If only they'd checked the Booking.com confirmation number, they could have saved everyone a sitcom-worthy scene. The bar! A mixologist-in-training tried to make drinks, and drafting a beer became a live performance. It was like watching a magic show where the trick is making time disappear. Sweet lady, but her drink-making skills were on island time. Time for a bath, you thought. But, alas, the shampoo had ghosted, and the bathtub plug decided to pull a Houdini act. A shower it is, with a heat regulator that had its own mood swings, but after some negotiation, it decided to play nice. Post-dinner adventures led to the bar again (with a proper bar tender), where drinks and a cheese board were the stars of the show. The night was like a whimsical episode of a sitcom - you half expected John Cleese to pop out and declare it a Faulty Towers special. The check-out drama! Your bill was high enough to rival Mount Everest, with mysterious charges for a bottle of wine and a feast you never had. Cue the eye rolls and a round of bill negotiations. Sure, the management needs a compass, but the laughter and memories you shared in this quirky haven: Priceless. It's like Faulty Towers meets a nice spa vacation in a wonderful location – an adventure we will treasure forever :-)
